The Isle of Man, a self-governing British Crown Dependency, issues its own currency, the Manx pound. It is pegged to the British pound sterling and has the same value. The Manx pound is legal tender only on the Isle of Man, although it is sometimes accepted in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
